Senator Godwin Hulse Condemns Violence

Godwin Hulse

But as impassioned as the plea from Shoman was, there were no takers from the government side. News Five spoke to leader of government business Senator Godwin Hulse after the meeting and asked him point blank for his opinion on the allegations against Faber. Hulse didn’t really have much to say, except that he’d be in a position to judge only if the complaint had not been withdrawn, if the matter had gone to court and if that court had found Faber guilty of the allegations.

Godwin Hulse, Senator, Leader of Government Business

“I heard that on the media. We haven’t had a Cabinet meeting since. There has been no discussion in Cabinet. I’ve not seen the honourable Minister, not heard anything directly from him. I only heard what was on the media like everybody else. And as I said there in my response, no kind of violence can be countenanced. It doesn’t matter who does it. That’s what I’ll say. I don’t support violence in any form by anybody under any circumstances. But it is up to the person against whom any violence occurs to make a proper complaint to the Police and to pursue the matter. And if they don’t, that’s it. The matter has to go to court to ensure that that is what happened. And if the lady doesn’t pursue it, and doesn’t pursue the matter, it is just like what I said in there with the allegation against the Commissioner, it is unfortunate, there are two sides to every story. We need to know that that actually happened. I can’t judge the honourable Minister. If it happened, and if that was taken to court and it was proven, I would have to condemn it. If it did happen I am condemning it, if it did happen. But I only heard what was on the news. I’ve never heard the young lady’s side. It never went to court. I can’t say any more on the matter.”

What a dastardly scoundrel and coward is minister Hulse ! This preposterous , anemic political posture is what we pay good tax dollars for. Is this the best, educated politician in the house?

    What is wrong with Hulse?

Being proud of punching out a woman is taught in UDP 101.

  4. Ali Babarrow's Belize says:

Hulse, there are three sides to the story.

You are the broker on these scams. Party A is fighting Party B, you scam both.

He makes me sick. He is yet just another one of the greedy , hustling thieves in this government. To see, as I remember while visiting Belize frequently, he used to call in day after day on the talk shows and commenting about injustices when PUP was in power. No better than Joe Bradley, they talk a good talk and spew all this venom until they get into the hustle. See, Joe no longer bashes Novelo over the bus deal. Ask him why. If those walls could talk in a certain bar on Daly street. I remember Godwin’s family from off of Tigris/King street. His Dad must be sick to his stomach if he’s still alive.
