George Street gangster sentenced to 10 years for firearm conviction

Twenty-two year old George Street affiliate Andrew Talbert was today sentenced to ten years for an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Talbert, who lives on Allenby Street, was busted in January 2013 with a mine millimeter Glock pistol and one round of ammunition. Police say Talbert ran from them behind a yard at the corner of Dean and Plues Street and threw the gun over a fence. Talbert says that is a lie, and claims that he was inside the yard with three other men, and Police targeted him. He claims that he never threw any gun over a fence. This is Talbert’s second conviction on firearm charges. He was out on bail because that conviction is being appealed at the Supreme Court. Today his attorney Anthony Sylvestre told News Five that they will be appealing this conviction as well.
