Sherwin Leslie Gets 6 Years for Stealing Armor-All

Sherwin Leslie

Fifty-five-year-old Sherwin Leslie, a car washer, who was accused of stealing an eleven-dollar Armor-All, has been sentenced to six years in prison.  Allegations are that on Sunday, Leslie, a resident of Flamboyant Street, entered Uno Service Station on Central American Boulevard and lifted the product which he uses to do his business.  The cashier wasn’t at the register at the time and Leslie was observed by a police constable placing the item under his shirt and walking away.  In court today, Leslie wasted no time in pleading guilty to a single charge of theft.  Leslie, who is no stranger to the law and has a number of convictions for other offenses begged the court for leniency.  But, Magistrate Hettie-Mae Stewart showed him no clemency and sentenced him forthwith.

This is the kind of judgement that just screams stupidity how dumb can these judges be they let go all the big drug dealers they let go all the murderers they let go all the corrupt politicians and police and then give a man 6 years in jail for a 6 dollar item like the man of stole a piece of cheese for his family this just goes to show you the incompetent judges that barrow has appointed wow what gross miscarriage of justice guan judas guan you are a disgrace.

  2. J says:

I think it has something to do with evidence. I am sure this man had other offenses that warranted a sentencing of 6 years. But the way you talk I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t understand how the system works, you arrogant man.

  3. what? says:

I’ll pay the 11 bucks, set him free…just think how much tax payers have to pay to mantain for 6 years a man who stole 11 $…..

  4. Buju says:

The problem is – he stole Armour All (which is to have the interior of the vehicle shiny and looking nice)

But look how rusty this fool??

    lol

Again stupidity in the highest order. I think we as a nation and people should stop worshiping attorneys and politicians as if they are gods and the only ones endowed with human intelligence. This decision questions that judge’s intelligence. The punishment does not fit the crime. Six years for a bottle of armour all. Don’t you think the guy could have gotten six months of community service instead of six years. Will spending the next six years in prison really rehabilitate that individual ? The answer is hell no.That is why i will never under this sun have any respect for lawyers, politicians and judges. I think they are just manipulative social parasites who create and use man made laws to take advantage of a corrupt and flawed and evil justice system. Justice is always in favour of them and never for the common Belizean. Just imagine some idiot that blows your relative or friend’s brain out walks free while a man who steals a bag of plantain chips gets five years. What the hell is wrong with Belize? Are we a bucnh of crazy people to live happily ever after in a system like this? Imagine how we must look in the international community, like a bunch of stupid, uncivilized, uneducated idiots.
