BWSL Union President testifies

Rodwell Williams

The memorandum from BWS C.E.O. Alvan Haynes released within the company on February seventh, according to Senior Counsel Rodwell Williams, had nothing to do with the termination of these workers, but with unrelated firings that took place a day earlier.

Rodwell Williams, Attorney

“Furthermore as the evidence unfolds, the company has always been keeping the union informed by correspondence in regard to all the redundancies. So it is really quite surprising that the redundant claimants in this case seek to ascertain that they had no knowledge and they were totally surprised and that in fact the regrettable memorandum which alluded to the termination of some people is sought to be relied upon as the unfair basis of their termination.  Well in fact, as you heard today, the evidence is in fact that even one of the claimants, who were terminated subsequent to this memo, he was terminated on the fourteenth and the memo came out on the seventh of February 2013, but yet he is relying in his claim upon a memo that preceding. So the termination included in the memo could not have been his termination.”

When the trial continued this afternoon, BWS union president Lorelei Westby took the witness stand testifying that the union was aware of redundancy cases of two security workers at the Dangriga water treatment plant, but it wasn’t aware that the six former employees were to be made redundant. The case has been further adjourned to later this year.

Another big thief in this udp gov. His hospital bills which is more than two million dollars was paid for by the hard working po people of this country the money given to him by judas barrow money that should have been used for the country the po people’s tax money while all others have to go to the Khmh. To die,

Yup and he seems to have forgotten what caused him to be carrying a colostomy bag till the day he dies. Though I don’t condone the reason why he got shot, maybe that should have been a wake up call for him. He’ s reaping the benefits of Belizean spoils along with his buddy Dean, house in Cayo, house down South. Sad for these former employees because it’s going to be hard to prove that it wasn’t redundancy just because they started to voice their discontent. However, their trump card can be if they can prove that other people were put in the same positions, which appears to have been the case. Can’t blame Alvan for towing the line because he got a second chance years ago after several failed ventures such as his own business, hustle at Data Pro and he having regular sprees several nights a week and excessive gambling on the machines on boulevard, Shooters club and at the casinos.
