P.U.P. prepare for municipal elections 2015

Francis Fonseca

The 2015 municipal elections are right around the corner and across the country; political parties are putting together their respective slates to contend in the elections. The P.U.P. has had a minor glitch with its Belmopan slate and we’ll have that coming up. But what about its Belize City team that will have to take on the incumbent U.D.P. Mayor Darrell Bradley and his slate? Today, News Five spoke with Party Leader Francis Fonseca who says that they’ve been working on it and that by the end of August their mayoral candidate and his or her team will be announced.

Francis Fonseca, P.U.P. Leader

“We are working on that, we are working on that. We have set a deadline within the party of the end of August for all our municipal teams to be in place. So we are going to stick to that deadline and we should be able to announce our team for Belize City sometime around the end of August.”

“Any prospects; who is it that you are looking at to lead the party to that victory?”

Francis Fonseca

“No, no….it is too early to say, what I can say is that we have a lot of people that are interested—a lot of good people—and it is going to be a question of making sure we get the best possible team and the best leader for that team. But there are no shortage of candidates which is a good sign. So we will have to wait and see what happens.”

You need to get your stuff together you are not doing enough to show the people of this country that you are a true leader first thig you need to do is hammer home your desire to tackle all this crime let them know from now that you will bring back the hanging penalty first thing come on you need to be pro active and not reative.

  2. Said and Ralph will do it again says:

Correction rod the racist… his handlers need to somehow teach him to be a strong puppet. Everyone knows that he is only in that position to act as a button to be pushed. This is exactly why the PUP will lose, they are churning out too many weak canidates; hell I am waiting for them to pick a maingey potlicker up off the streets and offer him up as a candidate. This is not me picking sides (just letting you know before you condem me as a UDP) this is me hitting you in the face with the truth. The sad reality is that if your party do pull it off we will be stuck with a weak government for 5 years or less. A vote for Francis is a vote for Said and Ralph and trust me even a maingey potlicker seems a better choice.

Francis has rightly in the past focussed on building the economy. When people got job and money they will not feel the need to commit crime. When people got comfort they will want to protect it so they will help the police track down criminals. This pup leader is a good man and plenty old farts from before will not like him cause he no entertain they rass and dumb ass people who just want to use pup for their own interest. Keep up the good work francis.

  4. Rod says:

Said and Ralph you the talk pupu. Who weaker than this pm and gov. Now over 4000 murders under this gov. More people dead Ina 5 yrs than the past 60 yrs this is the weakest most corrupt pm and gov. In the history of this nation so please keep your dumbass comments to yourself.j

Correction Said and Ralph will do it again:
Francis can make the PUP loose the general election because he is not pushing hard enough to “rise up” the people against the rampant corruption of the UDP gov’t. and to table in the House of
Rep anti-corruption laws for present and past corrupt ministers.
